Velda Simmons is the founder of No Bounds II, a nonprofit organization.  Clients appreciate her straight talk, often unconventional perspectives, and the depth of her “real world” experience.

 

Velda is distinguished by her ability to identify, engage, and meet people where they are.

Velda brings over 17 years of experience providing counseling, case management and support services. Velda has strong interpersonal skills, able to work effectively across diverse, multigenerational workplaces.

 

Throughout her career, she has helped clients, peers, and subordinates recognize their unique capabilities and position themselves as “A” players by addressing strategy, leadership development, positioning, and visibility. She has a contagious enthusiasm and passionate belief in people that inspires them to become prouder, stronger, and more valuable contributors in life.  She has also led innovative initiatives to build a top-performing organization with management “bench strength” and staying power.

Her background also includes founder of No Bounds Care, Inc., a for profit organization and successful Behavioral Health company since 2007. A Licensed NC Real Estate Broker and owner of Urban II Realty a cutting-edge realty company for over 20-years. She is also a surveyor for a Behavioral Health Accreditation organization since 2011, a Licensed North and South Carolina Mental Health Counselor, Licensed NC Substance Use Counselor, Licensed NC School Counselor, Certified Sex Offender Treatment Specialist, Certified Trauma Focus -CBT Specialist, and Certified Batterer Intervention Specialist.  

Velda holds an BA in Business from Montreat College, a MA in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and MA in School Counseling from Winthrop University.
